I will go over what eBooks are

Creating eBooks
#

  • I will show a couple different method to take a physical book and digitize it
    • This will involve me physically using a scanning machine
  • I will show off FOSS software for scanning and various post-processing steps

Removing DRM from eBooks
#

  • I will show some other methods of obtaining eBooks such as renting from the library
  • Remove the DRM from the books so they can be used on any e-reader

Reading eBooks
#

  • I will show FOSS software that is good for reading eBooks and some unique features of the software
  • Also will show physical e-reader devices that have good Linux support

Managing eBooks
#

  • I will show off calibre server, a tool for managing your library in a centralized place and accessing from all sorts of devices
